The Beaches ask for a different scale of garden than Ponte Vedra or the mainland. Lots are tighter, streets are walkable, and many properties in Atlantic Beach and Neptune Beach sit under decades-old oak canopy that a garden has to work with, not against. Jacksonville Beach carries more new construction and mixed-use frontage, but the same salt wind and sandy soil apply block to block. We design close to the ground here — smaller footprints, layered planting, and a plan that respects what's already growing.

Yes. We regularly design gardens across all three beach towns, from oceanfront lots to the residential streets set back from the sand.
What plants hold up best on a barrier island lot?
We favor salt-tolerant natives suited to smaller footprints — coontie, muhly grass, saw palmetto and dune sunflower — worked in around existing oak canopy rather than replacing it.
Do you design for older bungalow-style properties and tight lots?
Yes. Much of Atlantic Beach and Neptune Beach is narrow, established lots, and we design planting plans scaled to fit — no oversized layouts that crowd a small yard.
Do you take on commercial garden design at the Beaches?
Yes, alongside residential work we design for commercial and mixed-use properties along the beach corridors.
